On our way!

After hours and hours of packing we finally are about to leave for London and then off to Madrid. We will tell all about our airport adventures as soon as we have a few more minutes of down time. Until then, we love you all and adios!

Its...Different.

Its normal for kids to live with their parents until their late 20's. And even then, they usually don't move out of the same city.
Many people just carry baguettes in their purses. Like I said, they really like bread.
Its normal for people to go get beers at 11:00 am on a Sunday.
Multiple beaches are "topless" and some are nude. Taryn saw a completely naked old dude strolling on the beach on her walk to school.
People would rather have an apartment than a house. And the apartments are most expensive!
You can walk through the streets while drinking alcohol and no one cares.
Alcohol is for sale at the school cafeterias.
They clean the streets every night..like with a guy spraying a hose.
Apparently its not polite to hold the door open for people.
There are a ridiculous amount of bars. In fact, the city has the most bars per square mile in the whole world!
They don't listen to much music in their own language..most of what we have heard has been American Pop.
They pick up trash every day, but you aren't allowed to put yours outside until after 9:00pm.
Netflix and Pandora don't work. Apparently they are very discriminatory.
Smiling at people in passing is considered a sexual advance..its awkward.
Bread is a big part of every meal..and I mean EVERY meal.
They don't refrigerate milk and eggs...
Peanut butter is a rare find.
Lights are very expensive..a lot of the public ones (like in the hallway of our apartment building) are motion censored.
The soda is like half as carbonated..WAY better! For me (Tara) anyways.
Not a single pizza we have had has been greasy.
The doorknobs are in the middle of the doors and don't turn.
There are probably as many mopeds/motorcycles as there are cars.
The water at restaurants isn't free, and it always comes in a bottle (even though they say their tap water is safe to drink).
They don't just bring you your check at restaurants, you have to get their attention and ask for it.
The light switches in hotels have to be turned on with your key..and your key has to be left in it.
They put ham and eggs on EVERYTHING, they even have ham flavored potato chips.
The hot chocolate is literally melted chocolate in a cup that they eat with a spoon.
There are never paper towels, just air dryers.
We haven't seen a single truck.
You have to push a button to flush the toilet, sometimes two buttons.
There are close to no parking lots above ground..they are all underground.
The toilet paper comes out like kleenex.
Their "bacon" is just ham.
